Tyler Brewer Releases Debut Country-Pop Single “You Knew”
East Tennessee independent artist marks his first official release through VOL Records.
East Tennessee independent recording artist Tyler Brewer has released his debut country-pop single, “You Knew,” marking his first official release through VOL Records.
Inspired by a teenage high school romance, “You Knew” looks back at first love through the perspective that comes with growing up. What Brewer once believed was a story about “the one who got away” eventually became the realization that while one person was falling in love, the other was simply playing along.
At the heart of the song is a different kind of closure: understanding that someone leaving your life does not always mean you lost the person you were supposed to be with. Sometimes it simply puts you back on the road toward where you were meant to go.
“You Knew” is available now for purchase for 99¢, and the official release can also be streamed free on YouTube. Additional digital platforms are coming soon.
“But you can’t lose somebody who never meant to stay.”
Brewer’s debut blends personal storytelling with country-pop influences and draws on the perspective of growing up in East Tennessee. “You Knew” serves as the first introduction to his recording career and the music he plans to continue releasing.
